Doesn't seem too popular and I totally understand why. Saunter around the pitch, the odd flash of skill but expect your team mates to do all the work and, if you fancy a break, don't bother rushing back from injury. In my opinion, the same school that Tim Dieng and Dan Mooney attended. Tin hat donned !

No one is even close to the same school as Dieng. What a ****er.

To be fair to Wordsworth, he worked his bollocks off when he ran the length of the pitch at Roots Hall to celebrate in front of the Col Ewe fans.

Pretty sure the perception (myth) that Wordsworth didn't put the running in was not backed up by pesky statistics.
Very talented at the level imo and an easy target if things don't go well due to his style of play giving the impression of 'sauntering'.

We've not had a midfielder of his quality and goal scoring abilities since he left. He made things happen. And, as @Spenser says, statistics didn't back up the theory that some had that he was lazy. He was also an extremely important character in the dressing room, keeping things ticking along and everyone happy.

I can imagine he’s a bit of a divisive character that splits opinion, but he always seemed fun so maybe they’ve bought him in to aid team dynamic?

EDIT: I see OBL mentioned that above. Doh.

Especially at Christmas parties :Winking::Whistling:

Strange that he’d go into coaching never seemed to love the game. The most animated he ever got was when he scored against Colchester that time and did an Adebayor. Or am I imagining that that even happened?

What about the celebration after the free kick against MK Dons? Great goal and celebration.

He's been coaching for some time, and he was responsible for a lot of the crazy goal celebrations.

Player A.... coasts back 60yds at 85%. The whole time he is ball watching play out on the left so does not see his opposite number has stopped just out side the D and receives pulled back pass. Has time for touch and slots it home with player A dipping a toe in the bath rather than closing the space and blocking the shot.......See Wordsworth or Mantom

Player B only cover 50 Yds at 95% because he is aware of his opposite number. So that pulled back pass never happens, gets blocked or player B wins a tackle.....See Cat Miley

A covered 10yds more than B....So unfortunately stats about ground covered prove absolutely nothing......Nor does personality of the player or even his looks OBL. :Winking:
