Anthony Grant - is he fit or what?

Got a bit of a bang saturday!

Anyone no if he is fit to play tonight and be risked?

Or are we going to see another promising young talent on loan who is going to sit on the bench!

If fit give him a start!

Moussa was good tonight, definitely right choice.

Grant did ok but I was really impressed with Moussa.

Not sure how you can judge Grant being a good player yet. He seems to have done more damage to oppositions players limbs rather than the oppositions team as a whole so far.

He managed to start a ruck between both benches tonight within 5 mins of coming on!

Just been discussing Grant with a Chelsea fan on another board that I post on. This is what he's said:

Not sure if we'll sell him, if we do I think a Championship team should definitely snap him up, my own biased opinion is that he could already do a job in the Prem.

It's hard to tell really seeing as I only saw Granty play a few reserve games and thought he was quality, need to judge him in proper games though. But even against Spurs reserves they had some frigne players (Davies and another I forget who) and Grant was bossing them, he has a greatly timed slide challenge and battles hard, was far and away our best player in that game in particular.

I said a couple of years ago that Grant would be playing the holding role for England in 5-7 years time. Maybe he is still a few years off if at all but if he comes back to us and with a competant manager I can genuinely see him doing well before eventually being shipped off to a good top half of the table Prem team before getting noticed at a bigger club. I would be sad to see him shipped off this summer and really think he should be playing on loan in the Championship at least. He came on at Old Trafford when we beat them 3-1 in '05 under Mourinho when the league was wrapped up , I thought he'd get played a little more after that but he wasn't. Was so pleased to see him come on that day he's our only youth player that I really care about because I've seen him play years ago and he was very good then, I've always been interested to see how he turns out.

I look on BBC sometimes and it seems you lot just give him ten minutes at the end, he is better then that, I'd probably say the only thing Steve Sidwell has over him is Prem experience. Would love it if he made it, him or Jack Cork just have to make it at Chelsea or I'm convinced we should scrap the Youth team altogether. He probably isn't fully match fit and when he settles in better with you lot he should play more, just needs some match practice.
