Anthony Grant - good to see him back

Rayleigh boy

Director⭐
good to see him back and picking up a win bonus -

extra legs and a bit of nouse around the place - more to him than we have seen so far ...

Grant was better when he had that little period when he and Milsom swapped, With him playing on the wing, i found he was getting sucked in field a little bit too much with him naturally being a CM

I've always felt that Grant has a lot to offer, and his versatility is a godsend in a squad as thin as ours. It says a lot that Chelsea opted to renew his contract at 19. I just hope that the rumours about his training ground antics are unfounded.

yh played well 2nd half, had a good game and is actually quite fast,
wasnt happy with walker though unfortunatly

thing about Walker today was that he faced the sometimes difficult home crowd after costing us points against Huddersfield - and today he kept showing for the ball even when a couple of things went wrong for him ..

thought he scuffed a chance as well - theres potential there - look what a bit of confidence can do for a player (Hooper) ....

......and he is still young, people forget that.Gave the ball away at bad moments today but good luck to the lad,i still prefer him to Revell!!

Anyways,Anthony Grant today made Milsom look stupid and showed why he should've played in the middle instead of stuck on the bench.Well done Granty

I'm sure i counted more attempts on goal from Walker than Revster!

Good for you.

Leave off revel for god sake.

He was one of the best players out there and we won the match. Who cares who scores the bloody goals so long as we get the results.

Revel is more of a link-up player, holds the ball well and brings other people into than a goalscorer and alot of people recognise this and appreciate what he actually brings to the team.

Just because you count more shots from walker than revell, doesn't make walker a better player!

Walker may have the potential, but at the moment Revell would walk into the squad above him in my eyes.

Fair enough.

Leave off Walker then too.

Funny - I tend to recall that Revell was voted man of the match at the end or did you not hear that?

More to a players game than shots. Quality not quantity and Walker is strictly second rate.
MOM award is usually voted for by someone from the boxes who has been quaffing drink all afternoon so dont really think that counts

Thought Grant was pretty poor first half and kept drifting into the middle leaving Sankofa exposed. Much better when actually played there when Milsom went off - who I actually didn't think did too badly.

Spot on. I've been calling for him to start for the last couple of weeks and it was exactly that type of performance that the team needed from him. A lot of our defensive woes have come from a flimsy midfield and he made a world of difference by being in the opposition's face.

He was good when he was on the right drifting in to make us more competitive in the middle, but when he went central our midfield looked as balanced as it has done all season: Grant the defensive midfielder, Macca snapping in the middle but with licence to push on, Milsom a steady influence and good possession football on one flank and then Stanislas running at defenders on the other.

It's funny how some people view things!

I thought Milsom was the worst player on the park by a country mile and we were lucky that Shhhnnnnoooop drifted in the middle to do his job.Milsom wouldn't tackle, his passes were going astray, just pure cack.No wonder we've been rubbish lately as has Macca, but then most people would struggle having to play at this level with someone like Milsom.

I thought Grant had a good game yesterday especially in the second-half broke up quite a few attacks and I remember one really good ball down the channel for Stanislas to run onto, seemed to help Macca a bit having Grant in the side aswell who I thought had a decent game.

Grant was the worst player on the pitch in the first half, stevie wonder would have been better on the ball,2nd half improved slightly, mainly due to macca having a good game I thought. Would rather have had moooooos out there.
