Ante-Post World Cup Betting Tips

Just a few things i fancy for the upcoming World Cup,

Argentina - Winners. Now around 7/1 second fav, i got them @ 12/1 just after England beat them in that friendly.

Milan Baros - Golden Boot Winner, generally 40/1

Argentina v Ivory Coast Final - 300/1. I know it looks dodgy, but i fancy Ivory Coast to cause a few shocks, and become something of a surprise package.

Ivory Coast to reach final - 11/1 and upwards.

Get on today!

I've got a few quid on Italy at 9/1 and a quid on Serbia at 80/1

I'd like to put some money on the Serbs making the Semi-Finals, but I can't find a bookie who'll do it. After Greece in 2004 it's all about tight defences, and there's none tighter than those Serbs.

Good shout on Ivory Coast, they're a decent side.

Here's my tip, take Tunisia to win Group H. Spain always screw it up, One Shevchenko does not a team make and the Saudis are rubbish.

Tunisia play like a European side, big blockers at the back and lots of crossing. They really impressed me at the African Nations and they might shock a few people this time round.

Didier Zokora, Kanga Akale and Drogba are all very useful players in that Ivory Coast side, would not be at all surprised if they cause a few shocks...

Did my World Cup Dream Team today and could not believe Carlos Tevez was rated at £3.5m, when forwards such as Drogba were at £6m. Any odds available on him winning the golden boot? Tevez that is...

Problem with all the sides you mention is that they're in the group of death:

Argentina, Ivory Coast, Serbia & Montenegro & Holland.

Those group matches are going to be corkers...

Matt

Have you seen Saturday's schedule?

2pm England against Powergay
5pm Sweden against Trinidad and Toboggan
8pm Cheating Argentina against Ivory Drogba

By the time 10pm rolls around, I'm going to be drunker than I've ever been.

Game on... I'm booked in for lard, BBQ and footy in Clapham - day's leave pass from the missus for a boys' day out has already been booked...

There you go mate!

The serbs 25/1 to get knocked out in the semi final.Elimination betting

You can get Mexico at around 40's who have a decent draw, being one of the seeds, and have been playing very well of late. They're also coming into the tournament on the back of a hectic schedule (I think that they've played about 30 times in the last year) so expect them to be one of the more cohesive units. Well worth an each way bet.

And if i'm mistaken, The Epsom Derby and Greyhound Derby are on the same day!

HAPPY DAYS!

I was going to say Mexico have a very good draw. I also think that if Chelseas can somehow sort out Shevva's future before the competition starts, Ukraine should have a pretty good run through.

Still, inspite of you all going Argentina, Serbia and Ivory Coast, my money would be on Holland as an outsider.

Also, interestingly, if Italy don't win their group, they are paired with Brazil in round two. I wouldn't back against one of the two tournament favourites going out there.
