So another few weeks have gone, and the results have continued to be poor.

I put the question to you again zoners

Is it time for tilly to leave the club?

Tilson to leave are you mad !
His had no money to spend this season, lost most of or best players.
Not his fault he has to get players in who might not be fit for this league but he is doing the best he can.
Ron give tilly some money !!

absolutely mental pole, who the fek would ever come in and do abetter job under the restraints he has to work to, sometimes the grass isnt always greener on the other side

totally agree martin needs to give tiily the funds to get together a squad.
tillys only guilty for not demanding it.GIVE ME FUNDS OR I WILL GO SOMWHERE ELSE THAT WILL.(will that help tilly?)
with tillys record he certainly could

Before you call for Tilly to go, you have to ask is there a better replacement available?

And it ok demanding Ron gives Tilly money, but does Ron have money to give? He is not a multi millionaire.

Personally I think we need to write off this season and hope to stay up. Then hope Tilly's next foray into the transfer market produces players of the Eastwood/Goater/Bailey/Hammel calibre rather than Paynter/Furlong/Betsy/Scannel type.

Boring how many of these stupid polls are there going to be. As 'steveo' quite rightly points out who is going to do a better job with the resources we have

Urgh... if people hate some of us 'zoners asking for a change, then my pet hate is "Tilson must stay, there is nobody else available"... what nonsense.

On SSN the other day they spoke to Barry Hearn and he said they have had over 50 CVs already (this was a couple of days after sacking Ling) and he said he was honestly surprised at some of the names coming forward.

Managers out of work will be desperate to get back into a job.

I'm not talking about silly targets like Paul Jewell, Alan Pardew, Glen Roeder etc, but there WILL be a list of decent targets wanting the job and whilst the grass 'isnt always greener' - hey, it might be! Cannot be much worse than where we are heading now.

As I said on another thread where is the money going to come for paying off Tilson and Brush and bringing in another manager? Not thought of that one have you? Tilson and Brush are not going to just walk away with a handshake they are contracted until 2010.
Look forward to hearing from you or anyone else on where the money is going to come from what with Southend having hardly any money for transfers right now.

I can never understand why managers get paid off. If they are sacked for under performing, then why should they be rewarded?

Ron will have to weigh up the price of being relegated, against the cost of paying T&B off. Realistically, how much would it cost? The stadium isn't coming any time soon, so time for a fresh start - use some of the stadium money to get in a new manager, some new players (freebies or paid if we can) and a) try to stay up this year and b) push on next year and try our best to get back into the CCC for the new stadium in a few years.

Like I say, I dont think Tilly will see out as far as April and if he truly loves the club, then I would hope and expect he would walk away and give us a chance of survival, as he has done as much as he can now with the type of club we are.

Paul I can honestly say that is the biggest load of cobblers I've ever read.
