Another bid turned down

According to BBC Essex we have just had a bid turned down for Andy Robinson.

so thats rejected bids for Mcdonald, Foran, Donovan, and now Robinson. Not looking good. At this rate I can see another panic buy coming

Good to see we are really trying to push the boat out though, with quality signings.

I hope to see Macdonald, O'Donovan and Robinson here in the next few weeks!.. well we can only dream!

Well didn't we already go in with about 200k last summer..

So my guess is around 300k, that seems our favoured offer for players at the moment.

I really hope Ron extends the purse strings a little further for these three targets, they would be immense signings for this club.

Come on Ron, get around £1.5m out for the three of em!.

Robinson would be an excellent signing but right now were having nothing going our way. RM needs to think about club record figures to prise these players away and keep this club in the championship.

Or maybe he realises he now needs to cash in the money that we havn't blown on other transfers from the league 1 or 2 days. Back then we never made big money transfers and perhaps now we are seeing that money, maybe lol

He is exactly the type of player we need but in all honesty are they going to sell as he only signed a new contract in the summer.

Can't seem to find any link regarding the bid but BBC essex wouldn't make it up.

But I dont want the wages to be too large to control, spend as much as you can Ron, but keep the finances under control please!

I trust RM to keep the finances in check. However this is a time where quality players need to be brought into the team and pushing the boat out a bit is what's required to get the quality you need to survive. Although he taking into account that the club may go down, he needs to spend sums of money he's not used to.

Personally i think we gave up on someone like O'Donavon for Robinson unless Freddy is going!

So say 1.5mil for eastwood (and thats after money has been payed to Grays) + Original Tranfer Money anyway

Where would he play though, with JCR improving all the time, Gower being a key player on the left wing, McCormack impressing in virtually every game and then the undroppable Maher?

Unless one of them may be leaving the club who would Tilson drop cos i dont think Robinson would be signed for the bench?

Yeah I have to agree. I could see Robinson forcing his way into the first team though!

It all comes down to strong competition for places which ensures each player is on top of their game. It was a major component in Tilly's previous two promotion campaigns and one which, in my opinion, we've been lacking this season.

There isn't enough competition for places at the moment. Robinson would be a great signing but I'm guessing he's no longer an option??
