And you thought SUFC were jobsworths!

Just had a call from a friend who went to Gillingham to go in the main stand. (I am ill so didn't go: fortunately as it turns out) On trying to get a ticket he was told that they will only sell tickets to those on their database! He asked if they had any empty seats and was told "loads" however they refused to budge. Now this is a 50 year old gentleman who is in no way a hooligan. He also said that behind him were an elderly couple who had driven from Hertfordshire who were also effectively told to p*ss off. What with not giving away fans more tickets they seem intent to even stop there own casual supporters from getting in. Don't they want to make money? Is their chairman's name Jobson? Maybe it is a huge tax dodge? It will be interesting to hear how many empty seats there are. I will never knock SUFC again.

There's already 2 declaring intentions to venture down there.

well , I put the blame fairly and squarely at the door of the electorate who voted Blairs p.c / big brotheresque mob back in , it trickles down to every aspect of our lives either that or its Scrivs fault !

I tell you what, there were a very noticable number of Shrimpers that had taken up in large numbers in the home ends. Makes a mockery of the system if you can get in the home end by getting tickets beforehand or whatever these people did. I'm not talking ten or twenty, looked like well over a hundred in one cluster.

There must have been a good 100 Shrimpers in the corporate area of the main stand. Seemed to kick off a bit of a rumpous after our first goal but didn't stop them jumping up and down and singing after the second.

Yep, there must have been a good 200 in the home areas.

To be fair, most were on the £40 corporate deal.

Surprised you couldn't be added to the database on the day of the game. Madness if you can't.

Gillingham lost out on a lot of money today.

I'm certain that if I had driven to Gillingham and got turned away at one, I'd have given the rest of them a whirl. Maybe he assumed it was club policy
