And so onto Leeds...

The injury list has increased yet again for United boss Dennis Wise, following the clash with Leicester City.

Alan Thompson's comeback from a calf injury lasted just 13 minutes before he limped off with a hamstring problem while Jemal Johnson was stretchered from the field after a clash with Leicester goalkeeper Paul Henderson.

Jemal, who left the pitch with a neck brace, was taken to the Leicester Infirmary as a precaution, and Henderson made a bee-line for the Leeds dressing room immediately after the final whistle to check on the welfare of the striker.

"Jemal had blood coming out of his ears and mouth which was worrying, but the referee was very much on the ball," explained the United boss.

"The goalkeeper caught him with his knee and went straight through him.

"Alan was a gamble, and he has now got a hamstring injury which is a blow.

"It's disappointing, and you get forced into making substitutions because of injuries."

Eddie Lewis was an absentee from the starting line-up after suffering an injury during training on Monday.

"Eddie did his back on Monday which was a big blow," said Dennis. "He's having it checked out.

"Sometimes you want to keep the same team and we didn't have the opportunity to do that."

Hayden Foxe is expected to remain on the sidelines for the weekend trip to Southend United, but Robbie Elliott was among the substitutes at Leicester, Tore Andre Flo is closing in on a return, and Rui Marques could also come back into contention for the Roots Hall relegation battle.

"Rui should be okay now," added Dennis.

"Foxey is still missing, but you have to get on with it. We've had a lot of key people out at the same time, but we'll keep going."

All good news - they've got to go for a win so it could be open season if we get an early goal. I'm looking forward to singing 'going down' to them, as their fans are a nasty bunch.

Blimey, looking at those names in the leeds squad.....HOW ON EARTH are they down the bottom. Must be a shocking malaise at the club as they have a whole squad of players who have proven adequate for the prem in the past.

Oh well, their problem!
