I got this email today:

I was barely in my twenties when I went to fight for Britain. I left home with friends - all young lads like myself - and many never returned.

Today, the BNP salute and say "Heil Hitler" - and they support the same all-white Britain. They're proud of what the Nazis did to my friends, and what they did to millions of innocent people throughout Europe.

We didn't fight with our lives on the line years ago just to be right back here today.

We need to do everything we can to stop the BNP from being elected to local councils and to Parliament. Those boys lost to the war would proudly go door-to-door with Hope Not Hate to fight against the fascist BNP today.

There are no tanks and no guns in this fight - but we still need your courage to speak out.

Attend a Hope Not Hate event this weekend and join the fight against fascism:

The elections on 6 May are personal to me - and I hope they will be to you. I'd like to thank you in advance for your service.

Yours,

Not sure if I'll make to Dagenham on Sat, but if you're not at Brighton....

And I got this E-mail today....

A message from Normandy Veteran Bob Head
Dear Fellow Patriot,
When I enlisted in the army in 1942, aged 18, I did it for Britain.
Now I need you to do something for me.
The old-gang parties and their fellow cohorts in the media are dismantling and destroying the Britain we fought so hard to defend and preserve. Today, the war isn't being fought on the battlefield - but in the ballot box.
The British National Party is on the front lines of our fight. Our party and our courageous activists are working around the clock to save the country that our War Heroes fought and died for. If I had my health I would be out there with them. But I can't - so I'm writing to ask you to volunteer for me.
I was 18 when I went to fight for Britain. At just 20 years old I was involved in the Normandy invasion, and spent the last year of the war fighting with my fellow heroes through northern France, Belgium and into Germany.
I was attached to the 51st Highland Division under the command of the legendary General Bernard Montgomery ('Monty' as he was affectionately known). I also took part in the Battle of the Bulge in late 1944 and Operation Market Garden.
Today, look at the terrible state of our country! Many cities and towns resemble third-world slums, crime is out of control, pensioners are freezing to death in winter, we are ruled by the EU, our politicians are greedy and corrupt, and our British national identity is being dismantled and abolished!
We didn't fight with our lives on the line years ago just to be right back here today. Our War Heroes have been betrayed!
We need to do everything we can to help the BNP get elected to local councils and to Parliament. Those heroes lost to the war would proudly go door-to-door with the British National Party to fight against the destruction of our beloved Britain.
There are no tanks and no guns in this fight - but we still need your courage to propel the British National Party to its goals. Get active, leafleting, canvassing, speaking to people, get the word out!

Yours sincerely,
Bob Head

Sadly, that's genuine.

He forgets, probably because he is old and senile, to mention that the war was about freedom. The exact freedom his party of scumbags want to inhibit if you happen to be black, gay, female....

I don't want to speculate but this bloke probably hands out Werther's Originals (Reichskandi ?) to his grandchildren oblivious to the fact they are made by a German company.

He might as well go the whole hog and dress them up in miniature SS uniforms and award them the Iron cross with Oak leaves, Swords and Diamonds.

'Monty' would no doubt be vomiting with rage if he wasn't turning in his grave.

Agree with both sides here, the BNP are an utter disgrace with how they have used and abused our war hero's. They started a poster campaign with the picture of a Hero Ghurka soldier... now that's just ****ing wrong.

However, the first email, i don't agree with. Although my family fought, and so did many others, to stop Hitler and the Far Extreme Right in Europe, they didn't fight for the way country is now. Terrorism, Islamic extremism, violent crime, benefit seekers / fraudsters. It's not what they fought for, and in many ways, Hitler's Germany was in a far better, and what was a far better state, than what we live in Britain now.

J However said:
Absolutely not. Spiv's were rife as were black marketers before during and after the second world war . The Social security state hadn't really hit its stride so benefit cheats arnt really and issue or comparable , street crime went unreported or become controlled by gangs . And as for Hitlers Germany , are you insane .. it was absolute order and destruction of peoples and genocide . Backed by Slave labour . It was ordered ill give you that . But utterly with out merit .

The veterans fought for choice and freedom , what will always include teh above . The fascist grinds people to fit its idea of order and annihilates those who do not. Better choice which we do have then that .

Email from a WWII vet:

I'm sorry but we've had to put your dog down.

A country where disabled people were put to death
A country where Jews were put to death
A country where there was no democratic right
A country where propoganda ruled
A country where the youth were politically indoctrinated from an early age
A country where the youth were encouraged to report their parents if they didn't agree with the state
A country where if you weren't German, you were second class
A country that was a Police state.

Britain aint perfect, but I know where I'd much prefer to live.

I can't disagree with any of that apart from point 4, spin and lies (propoganda) have been the current Government's stock in trade. Their first recourse is to lie or smear the people that have exposed their lies.

And today I get..........

The Nazis have taken shots at me before - but they've never stolen my words.

Yesterday, I opened my heart to tell you about my experiences in the Second World War. I spoke of the pain and suffering that my friends and I endured to beat the Nazis.

Just a few hours ago, I found out that the BNP lifted my words of hope and plagiarised them for hatred. The BNP literally stole my message, changed a few names and dates, switched the organisation from "Hope not Hate" to "British National Party", and used my story to raise money for the Nazis.

How could decent people do such a thing? Do the BNP value nothing?

Please stand up to the BNP - and make a statement against this disgusting act - by donating £10 to the Hope not Hate campaign right now:

https://donate.hopenothate.org.uk/doyourduty

Don't let the BNP fool people. They preach the same hate as the Nazis. They stand for everything we fought against.

And they'll do anything - even steal the honest words of a WWII veteran - to spew their hate.

I've never retreated from a fight, and now I'm more dedicated than ever before to stopping the BNP.

I hope you'll join me on the front lines.

Thank you.

Anyone see the BBC News yesterday? They followed Nick Griffin campaigning in Barking and made for interesting watching.

Genuine it maybe but bollocks it most defenitey is. The 51st Highland Division were not at or anywhere near Holland during Operation Market Garden. It was an Airbourne assault backed by tank divisions. The only Infantry involved were the Staffordshire and Northumbrian regiments and also the First Canadian Army of which the 51st were part of after Market Garden. The 51st also recieved less than flattering comments from Montgormery who stated that they failed in every mission they were given. Harsh words but given from the greatest militery leader of his generation. Even Patton, who hated Montgomery respected him. After Market Garden, the 51st were involved and most certainly didn't shy away from action but they were not in the thick of it at Armheim and I personnally find it insulting to the memory of those who were there. A very close friend of the family was there and would be turning in his grave if he could hear the bollocks the BNP are turning out. I might well agree with some of their polices but they are still a bunch of no good ******s who will never be electable with a **** like Griffin in charge.

It depends which division to which this chap is claiming to have been a member. The original 51st (Highland) Infantry Division was a Territorial Army formation under the command of Major-General Victor Fortune which was all but decimated during the BEF's evacuation at Dunkirk in 1940. It was subsequently reorganised using remnants from the original 51 Div and the core of the 9th (Highland) Infantry Division to become a new 51st (Highland) Infantry Division which spent two years as a home defence outfit protecting the south coast of England and the north-east coast of Scotland before being posted to North Africa, primarily to clear minefields. The division did take part in confronting the 'Ardennes Offensive' (the "Battle of the Bulge") but was primarily deployed as a "stop-gap" to defend against German intrusion into Allied-held territory and saw little of the heavy fighting that marked the last major Axis offensive of World War II. 51 (Highland) Div did not take part in Operation Market Garden; the TA unit 52 (Lowland) Div would be tasked to protect the captured air base at Deelen. By 1945 the British Army and indeed much of the Commonwealth and European Allies were under the command of Field-Marshall Montgomery, so no surprise there.

Ex-soldiers would normally remember the units with which they served ... I do ...

A country where there is no democratic right - LABOUR

A country where the youth are politically indoctrinated from an early age - LABOUR
A country where if you are English, you are second class - LABOUR
A country that is becoming a Police state - LABOUR
