17, so I'm lead to believe. We'll have to see how he's coached, and how his attitude prevails in the coming years, but oh my, he has the natural ability to make it massively in the game.

That's good to hear. Are there any other players to look out for? Heard Jack Payne a lot this season.

Love hearing about rising stars in our youth team. Here's hoping he'll make an appearance for the First Team before he's signed up by another club!

What an excellent read , heres hoping some big club dosent read it and snatch him away.I hope he decides he can get first team football with Southend quicker and should he big like you said a diamond in the rough maybe he can also help Southend by being a big money transfer. If so he will be revered by all supporters that im sure.

May i add it warms my heart to read about the youth team players.they are the future of the club as Southend cannot afford to be buying players continuously.BIG CLUBS LEAVE OUR BOYS ALONE! WELL AT LEAST UNTIL THEY ARE ESTABLISHED FIRST TEAM PLAYERS

Love the blog mate! Would really like to go to local non league games with my boy when he's older, show him real football. Think I'll adopt east Thurrock as my team of choice
