All-Ticket

CSBLUE

First XI
can someone please explain the point of doing some away games as 'all-ticket'?

what is trying to be achieved or perhaps avoided by not allowing away fans to buy tickets on the day?

thanks in advance!

If you're the home club and you have 1,000 seats for away fans and sell 1,000 tickets for those seats in advance you can then be 90% certain that only 1,000 away fans will turn up and also you have given the away club some control over who gets them.

If however you don't make the game all ticket you can be far less certain that you will have room for all the away fans that might turn up and the chance of getting in might encourage the type of people that you'd rather not have around to travel too.
