ALL loanees available for play offs

There are no hard or fast rules about whether a loanee is eligible for playoff, depends on their parent club allowing them to extend their loan period, some will some won't.

Yes, but surely Les, if a loan deal is signed outwith of the transfer window, it can only apply for a maximum of 93 days as it has to be deemed an "emergency" loan. We signed Walker 15 Feb, therefore 93 days after that is 18 May, unfortunately a week before the L1 playoff final!

similar debate on the Rovers fans forum, you are right there are rules for the normal season, which a club can apply the letter of the law and you would lose Walker, but the parent club has the discretion to extend the loan for the playoffs.

Good News that all the loanees can play in the play offs
was Walker's loan extended then ?

Be great if we signed Mulgrew permanently in the summer.

Will depend on situ with the player whether they want to sign with the club or go back to their parent club. We have this with Matt Mills at Rovers, he is on loan with Rovers until May 4th, if we are in the playoffs Man City will most likely give us an extension as he likely to sign for the Rovers in the Summer anyway.

Is he ex England captain Mick Mills' son?

Glasgow, good question, to be honest I don't know. My first reaction is I don't think he is, but you never know.

Checked his profile on Rovers website, Matt Mills wa born in Swindon, then started his playing career at Southampton, left for Man City due to change of management at the Saints, doesn't seem to tie him in with Mick Mills.

Great news is all I can say. Thats one massive worry off of my mind, having to get a new front pairing in for the most important game of the season, if we can get there.

Walker was signed when the loan window was still open so I don't believe he was considered an emergency loan.

If he was then we have either A) extended it or B) been granted special permission by the FA after the problems with his heart.

There's no such thing as "the loan window" though. A loan outside the normal transfer window is an 'emergency loan'.

Yes there is. Loans start up again about a week after the transfer window closes, and shuts towards the end of march (possibly even the very end of march).

You can sign players on loan outside of this, that would be classed as an emergency loan.

That isn't a loan window. It's a period of time that the Football League negotiated during which FIFA & UEFA would turn a blind eye to loan transfers under the pretence that they were emergencies.

In exceptional circumstances, loans can be made beyond that time also (such as losing all the goalkeepers on your books).
