AFC Hinckley

Napster

No ⭐
I went to watch AFC Hinckley away at Atherstone on Saturday. The quality was pretty dire, but Hinckley had JJ Melligan play for them (ex-Orient, Cheltenham). Good grub and you could take your beer behind the goal. But the best part, was one of Atherstone's stands is named "The Andy Rammell stand"

And yes, it's the same one. Spotted by Nobby Stiles, he signed for Man U and then went onto various clubs...

Did my good mate Mark Bellingham play ? 38 now but what a good striker he still is with a great left foot and plenty of pace:thumbsup:

I remember seeing him turn out for Leamington a few years ago! (I have a mate who lives in Leamington although coincidentally, given the Andy Rammell connection here, actually supports Barnsley). Insanely prolific at that level.

Can't blame Atherstone for naming a stand after Rammell. Getafe - a top flight side in Spain lest we forget - have their stadium named after Alfonso, who is from Getafe, but never actually played for them. That's just a bit embarrassing.

JJ Melligan was a quality player. Is he old now or been injured? Why s he playing so low down the football ladder?

I got Mark bellingham to play for my vets side today, bossed it, won 7-1 and he got three goals, still quality player at 38:thumbsup:
