Advice please.

Me and my wife have decided we would like a sports car for the summer. Her birthday is on the horizon and i would like to go and get one for her. She wants the new Audi TT but i want to drive this car too and think that the TT is a hairdressers car. Any other suggestions? Anyone know anything about the new alfa spider?

spider is ok.. wouldn't go near a TT to be honest, a car for people who don't know much about cars. my dad just got a Honda S2000, which is a serious bit of kit... Fast but comfortable and easy to drive, it also looks stunning IMO. I just want to get on the insurance!!

On Top Gear, Clarkson said he hated the old one as it was a hairdressers car but the new one was simply amazing, a pure drivers car.

On my list if I won the lottery (along with a Q7 & an A3 sport for the Mrs) would love to walk into the Audi garage with a case full of 100 grand and place my order!

The way I see it, the Z3 will be the hairdressers car in 12-18 months time!

true about the new TT... just think there are better cars for the money (Z4, S2000, even the boxster)

Z3 is already a hairdressers car. I quite fancy either the Audi R8 which i think comes out later this year which will be about 70,000 or the V8 Vantage but at the moment both are slightly out of my price bracket. What about the Lotus.

lotus's are really really raw and basic so if you want to cruise for a long distance then it could be quite uncomfortable. it doesn't have air con and so if you have the hood up it gets really really hot with the engine underneath you

Clio's are great. Fond memory of my nan getting pulled over by the police for doing 100 in one of those and promptly being stripped of her licence! She was 85 at the time.
