Adams Sacked

Reported on Match of the Day earlier, dont think he was given enough of a chance to be honest.

**** manager, i was shocked when they offered him the job, i think when premier league clubs do this it's an insult to all the experience, highly rated managers in the lower leagues.

I think Adams deserved the job to be honest. He did a very good job as assistant manager to Redknapp as was recommended by Redknapp as well.

Feel really sorry for him. Portsmouth have gone backwards since the FA Cup final. No more Sulley Muntari, Lassana Diarra or Jermaine Defoe. You took them 3 players out of any side and they would struggle.

Also, a very wierd time to sack him as well. Now the transfer window is shut the new guy wont be able to bring anybody else in, they don't even have the loan window in the Premiership. Plus, they allowed him to bring in a couple of players towards the end of the transfer window as well.

can you edit your quote to get rid of the naughty word... i just got a ****************ing for 'evading the swear filter!'

I feel sorry for the guy, but he shouldn't have been made manager in the first place. he's had his hands tied to an extent, but with no real track record why was he given one of the hardest jobs currently in the premier league?

was NEVER going to be good enough, was crap at Wycombe, was crap at Brentford...even with better players around him, was always going to be crap.

Somewhere like Portsmouth is ALWAYS going to be walking a greasy tightrope...and following in Harry's footsteps, he was onto a kicking before he started.

Souness to take over?...just as bad as Adams.

never really worked out for him
I think managers like him and harry redknapp are a dying breed other managers are worried about the board and money but he's focused on the football

Am I alone in missing the naughty word in my post?

TBH they should have gotten a point from the Liverpool game but poor defending let them down. Adams was never given anywhere near the same treatment as Redknapp. Redknapp was given alot of money. Adams came in and was not given much at all. He deserved a few more weeks with crucial games coming up for them now. It didn't help him with players like Defoe and Diarra leaving. He has helped Nugent find his form aswell, which Redknapp didn't do.
