Abigail Byrne Referee ?

I thought her performance at Roots Hall was poor but desperate for a football fix I am watching the WSL derby at Goodison and amazingly I think she is even worse !!!

Not a great game and makes me realise why I rarely watch woman’s football but the most mistakes of all has been by the referee who had been picked up by the commentary team getting several fouls just wrong including one when the Everton keeper messed a clear corner missed and several throw ins given the wrong way before just before half time when she gave Everton a penalty when the offence was VERY clearly outside the area.

A few last week were keen to say she was proof women can't ref men's matches (despite Kirsty Dowle probably being the best ref we've had since being in the NL). The far more obvious explanation is that Bryne is just rubbish no matter which gender she's officiating.

I’m pretty sure it was Abigail Byrne who decided the Everton V Liverpool ladies match yesterday by awarding a penalty for a foul committed well outside the area! Must have been the 4th official in her ear that influenced the decision

I’m pretty sure Kirsty Dowle, after being applauded off on her first visit to the Hall, was booed off a couple of months later after a diabolical performance!!
