A training ground manager

I wonder if anyone here can help with something I am doing at work - I need to try and write a job description for a Training Ground Manager but have no idea where to start!?!?

What sort of duties could I include?

delegate staff to cut grass and mark the lines. job done

Ah, a great task!

A training ground manager would be responsible for all things to do with the day to day running of the establishment. This would range from:-

1. Hiring/firing of staff for things such as unlocking/locking the place at the start/finish of the day, barstaff if there is a bar, groundstaff, cleaners, odd-job-man. Maintain and compile staff rota's.
2. Ensuring that any playing surface was to the standard set by the club.
3. All equipment was fit for purpose.
4. Comply with ALL Health and Safety at Work regulations.
5. Maintain adequate security of the training ground, and it's staff.
6. Ensure stock levels of everything, (from grass seed to beer) are sufficient for demand but not over the top.
7. Ensure fire regulations are in place, extinguishers in place and in date and general fire precautions are adhered to.
8. Undertake suitable risk assessments on tasks undertaken by staff and action any recommendations that come out of them.
9. Liaise with the local council when necessary to ensure that if special events are going on any highway issues are dealt with to minimise the effect on the local community.
10 Pray for not too much rain in the winter and not too much sun in the summer!

I'm sure there are multitudes of other things you can pull out of the topics i have mentioned, but i hope this may help a tad.

By the way, don't ask why i'm up at 02.20 typing this malarkey when i should be asleep or pi$$ed!
