A question for the ladies on the board

How difficult is it to buy a Bra that fits.

Last night on the DLR i was obviously checking out the chicks, when i noticed a strange trend among the women using this facility, none of them had a bra that fitted correctly.

"Admiring" from the rear, a couple clearly thought they were a 32 when they were a 36..... i can only imagine it took a team of people to hook this baby up, as the amount of flesh hanging over the bra was obscene.

"Admiring" from the front a few women were spilling out of the cups, and not in a good way.

So it got me wondering just how difficult it is to buy a Bra.......

Is there not a stat thats something like only 10% of the UK's women know their correct bra size?

Totally agree with what you say about the flab hanging over the strap at the back, got to be the female equivalent of builders ar5e-crack!

A mate of mine works in M&S and I went in there to see her at work. I overheard someone measuring a women who told her she was a certain size. This woman said 'Oh! I thought I was much smaller than that.' So yes, Glasgow, not a lot of women know what size they should be.

I would have told them to go to M&S and get measured :D

Reminds me of an ex-friend of my Mrs who had their entire work in stitches as she maintained she was a 36F despite having barely more than a AA cup!

Very very strange, almost like some kind of wierd breast related Bulemia!

I always get proper fitted bras from debs in the royals but since moving here I cannot find a decent bra shop!

I used to own a pooch which had a bit of a breast problem. It was only a small dog, and hence only had small breasts, but they swung around uncomfortably for her, porr bitch.

Anyway I took her to Marks and Spencer and they fitted her up properly with a bra to fit her. As I say she was a small dog with small breasts, so M&S kindly fitted her up with a Diddy A Dog Bra.

My missus was wearing a 34A when I met her. Now, following exclamations of surprise from my good self, she now wears a much more appropriate 36C :p

So, in other words, every lady should go and get herself measured (or just ask their fella, as we tend to have a good eye for these things - what practice does for you! :D ) as they clearly haven't got a clue

It is actually more difficult than you would think to find a bra that fits properly, although some women dont seem too bothered about it. I overcame this problem by getting the pups measured in M & S, I was actually wearing the wrong size and was shocked by what I was told I was, it was bigger than I thought, which is usually true for most women.

Getting the wrong size not only looks horrible but can actually result in health problems in some cases, not to mention saggy ones which no one wants to see.

Good grief .Even Ladies use the word "pups" now.....What is the world coming too.

I understand that measurement is not enough , they also need to be regularly weighed

Altogether now

WAAHAAAAYYYY !!!

A guide to Bra Sizes
You will need:

A tape measure (preferably with both inches and centimeters since that will allow you to know your sizes in both types of units and then you will have no problem at all selecting the right bra for you)
A full length mirror
How to measure your bra size?

Undress completely on the top.
Measure yourself in inches around the ribcage below your bust. (Data A)
Now measure yourself around the fullest part of your bust. (Data B)
Add five onto the first measurement(Data A) to get your bra size (in inches). If it happens to be an odd number, round it off to the next higher even number. So 33 becomes 34.
To find out the cup size, use the chart below:

Difference Cup size

Same Size A
Up to 1 inch B
Up to 2 inch C
Up to 3 inch D
up to 4 inch DD
up to 5 inch E
up to 6 inch F
up to 7 inch FF
up to 8 inch G
