A Plea To ALL Fans Tonight

Tonight's game is massive, we know that, the players know that..

Let's ALL do our bit and help the lads secure the win that all but secures a Play-Off spot.

We need to back the lads with passion and pride in our voices tonight and be the 12th man.

At the moment the "singers" are too fragmented around the ground to really lift the noise levels up, so this is a message particularly to those "quieter" ones around the ground..(You know who you are!)

Please join in with the singing and chanting, it will help the noise travel around the entire ground, instead of just sticking in the usual few areas. Especially those in the central sections of the West Stand, there is plenty of noise being generated at either end of the stand, but it tends to quieten in the central sections which means more often than not the two ends are singing different songs entirely..

Dont sit there in silence waiting for something "exciting" to happen before you make some noise, help make it happen by lending your vocal encouragement right from the off tonight.

And to those who are worried about "looking stupid" by singing when surrounded by the more quieter fan, now is the time to be a leader and do what your heart tells you too. If you want to sing, then bloody well do it, the rest will soon join in when they see the passion you are showing!.

We are all one big family, we all need to apply those family values tonight and show the lads the support they need and deserve.

Tonight is the night to show your pride, passion and belief in the team.

So, SING UP SOUTHEND, SING UP!!

Yes, sir! :)

We sit towards the middle of the West and when we sing the people in front of us look round disapprovingly. Does it stop us? Does it bollocks! Come on you Blue Boys! Sing your hearts out for the lads!

De herdertjes lagen bij nachte
Zij lagen bij nacht in het veld
Daar hoorden zij engelen zingen:

Southend! Southend! Southend!

Well said BAG.

Make the effort tonight people and we will be rewarded.

Sing your hearts out, tonight is Roots Hall Roar Night.

Top man Smiffy - I remember being at a game last season, sitting in the middle of the west, and all was rather quiet as you said. There was one lad on his own, trying to get the singing going - but to no avail. Then I joined in with him, then another 1 or 2 near me joined in, and it went from there. One person can make all the difference, and get the quieter, shy people to sing up - so hopefully tonight you can all really help the boys on to victory!

had this at the walsall game, coudlnt get into the tbv section so sat near middle and people think your mad if you actually sing. i think people who sit nice and quietly are mad and they don't know what they are missing!

ALERT!!!
the usual drummer in the west will not be there tonight, smiffy will you be drumming??
i think it really helps (even tho sometimes the drummer does have an of day! haha.... sure he wnt mind me saying)

not bad tonight i thought, south upper was very good which surprised me as never really a mutter where i sit. probably didn't sound very loud but very enjoyable never the less. could hear the tbv loud and clear.

Yeah it was a decent atmosphere tonight.

I thought the Brighton fans did well. Can't have been nice to see those two quick goals go in.

improvement on atmosphere tonight couple of times when the whole ground was united in song, middle of the west was a bit more vocal tonight, all led very well bt the blue voice section
