Lord Football

Blues on Tour
I'd love to be going today, but can't. Saturdays are mainly a "no, no" during the local football season.

However, the absolute best thing about Tuesday night was my 9 year old. He went in a Gooner and came out a Shrimper.

He has now started referring to Southend as "we" and when asked who he'd support if Southend got Arsenal, without even flickering an eyelid he said "Southend". He even went to school and told all his mates how important it is to support your home town team.

His 6 year old brother set up the video and taped the game. He has watched nothing else since.

The future isn't orange. It's blue!

Top stuff.

My son is also 9 and he's BLUE all the way through. All he talks about is Southend United.

I'm pleased for you my friend.

Great news...

The kids are the future of our club.

It's great when you see schoolboys wearing the blue shirt of Southend in the local parks rather than the usual Arse, Chelski and ManUre ones...

Long may this continue.
