A Guide on how to post Pics on the Zone

Aberdeen Shrimper

The Man who sold the world
With out wanting to teach a lot of you to suck eggs, I thought it might be helpful to explain to some posters, (who are not 100% sure) about how to post a picture on to a Thread from the internet.

Seeing as it is a thread about pics...thought i would go through it using pics....Hope this helps.

Click on the pics to enlarge if you need to.

First things first...find the pic you want to post.

n689425473_1473209_318.jpg

Next....click on it to give you something like this. Then click on the top wording that says.."See Full-Size Image"

n689425473_1473210_626.jpg

When you have the Full size image right click anywhere in the image. then click on Properties

n689425473_1473211_1306.jpg

Highlight the whole of the location address and right click copy.

n689425473_1473212_1600.jpg

Now go back in to the Zone and to the Thread you want to post the pic in and click on the little icon that looks like a wee mountain and paste the "Location" address that you copied

n689425473_1473213_1911.jpg

n689425473_1473214_2259.jpg

Then your pic will hopefully appear like this.....

Have Fun

Dave, you are too kind.
Might help me though as my skills on the computer are very limited, which I think is obvious. I have only just learnt how to do attachments.

Well i hope it does help Jackie........posting a pic can sometimes say so much more that what a comments can.

Might be worth making it a sticky for folk to be able to see when wondering how to post a pic

can you do this direct from your saved pics on the computer (photos)or do you have to use a site?

yep this is really easy.

have your picture saved on your computer.

go to:

www.tinypic.com

click on 'browse' and select your picture.

click 'upload now'.

select and copy the "Direct Link for Layouts", and then follow Aberdeen Shrimpers instructions above, pasting the link into the Image option

(alternatively, once you have uploaded the picture to tinypic you can select and copy the version that is in

Sorry to **** on the fireworks but isn't this considered "hotlinking" and frowned upon?

Hotlinking uses other peoples bandwith and they dont like it.

Forums that allow it can find themselves in trouble.

Not to mention the person you are linking from can change the picture to something obscene and get you in trouble that way.
