A great memory

Brings back happy memories being one of the 1281 that was there. I will have to dust of my video of this game & watch it again. I'm in the West Stand at the front, halfway between the penalty area & the halfway line, at the South Bank end. I'm wearing a long grey coat!!! You do see me.

Yes I know I'm sad!!

Happy Memories indeed. I used to love us playing Aldershot the 10-1 that followed the 5-0 double the previous season.

So little belief that we ended the season with promotion to the 2nd tier for the first time in our history!!

Many many thanks for the clip. It has always been one of those games I regrete not seeing. Funny enough I've always had a soft spot for Aldershot after that result and always look for their result on a saturday.

A memorable night that was, I remember cheering when the Shot scored.
I always liked the chant:
"Alder-grim, Alder-grit
Alder-shot are Alder-****"

remember the game well, particularly remember when we were 9-0 up the 'We want ten' chant. The whole ground joined in, I think we all knew we were never going to be chanting that again!
