A few tips on predicting

DoDTS

The PL League Boss⭐⭐🦐
I thought a few facts might help towards successful predicting, or perhaps not. :nope:

Firstly as true Southend fans we are taught from the beginning of our supporting careers, that Southend are world beaters and that Col Ewe are the worst club in the country. Hence predicting is easy Southend win 46 lose none draw none while Colchester win none draw none lose 46. Great as this theory is, it isn't actually true and for those of us who continually put Southend to win Colchester to lose i.e. using your heart instead of your head, will not do very well.

Second the scores. Of the 54 matches we have predicted this session, 16 have been home wins, 16 draws and 22 away wins. Any match can finish by any score of course but in reality of those 54 matches the scores have been:

1-1 eight times,
2-1 and 1-2 five times
1-0, 2-0, 2-2 and 0-2 four times
0-0 and 1-3 three times
4-0 and 0-4 twice
4-1, 3-3 and 2-3 once

So if you fancy predicting a 6-5 please do but the odds are against you.

Forgetting to predict costs vital points, I try and put the fixtures up in plenty of time and send reminders to those that have not posted their predictions, the day before and again on the day but if you forget to post you will score no points.

Last point the first fixtures of the new session will be put up this Sunday, as previously, byes in the first round of the PL Cup will be on a first to predict No. 1 fixtures basis. This session 91 entered which meant 37 byes so predict no. 1 fixtures for an easy passage to the second round of the Pl Cup

Best of luck to all
