A Bit of Betting Advice Needed

I am currently sitting on a betting slip which will pay £220 if sunderland win the championship.

Only Derby or Birmingham can catch them and both are available at 7/1.

Should i use part of my potential "winnings" and stick £27.5 on each of them thus guaranteeing a return of £220 whoever wins although spending a further £55?

or is that just a bit girly?

Hedge your bet.

Better to have money in the bank than expose yourself to the risk of Sunderland blowing it.

I'd be inclined to hedge, although I'm generally quite a cautious punter anyway.

I'm currently sitting on Australia at quite a nice price for the Cricket World Cup and although I'm pretty confident they will win it I intend to lay them off once we get to the semi-finals in order to lock in a profit.

Put the whole £55 on Birmingham 7/1 seems good odds, if they beat Leicester tonight they will only be 2 points behind Sunderland & similar goal difference.

Did you bet on both or just Birmingham. Derby now 15/1 & Birmingham 5/1 to win the Championship.

Definately hedge it! Yes, you won't win so much but at least you will come out winning. Then you can put it towards a new Season Ticket at Roots Hall!
