5 years time...

Manager
This has probably been asked and discussed before, but where do you see Southend United being in five years time?

Championship? Bottom, top?
Stuck in League 1?

Settled into the new stadium, as serious contenders in League One with genuine potential to grow and sustain a position in the Championship under the management of Steve Tilson, our answer to Dario Gradi.

Following the split in the football league over the use of cloned players Southend will be part of the galactic league, with the Fossetts Stadium brought up to galactic league standards with the addition of anti-gravity foundations, and expanded seating. We will field a team of cloned yesteryear heores including Powell & Collymore, Freddy will have just re-signed, Tilly will still be manager and Lee Barnard will still be on the injury list. We will finish second to IFK Gothenburg, and attract crowds of 101,000.

That or what Sussex said.

I'd probably settle for that after seeing the accounts Firestorm posted, it seems the finances aren't fantastic.

One thing I'd add to that is an average attendance of 14,000.

That situation would be very nice.

As part of the new franchise system launched by the Football League we will no longer be known as Southend United. Instead, we will represent the whole county and will be known as the Essex Shrimpers.

We will defeat the Cornwall Pasties in the final of the Five Alive Cup, a five-a-side competition (rolling subs, no over head height, keeper can't come out of the box) which will be the only football tournament still being played at senior level in England. Paul Furlong, re-signed due to his ability in this form of the game, will score the winner.

That or what Drastic Surgeon said about what Sussex said.

2nd bottom in League Two with Tilly and Brush recently departed, the two of them adhering to the sensible advice of "leave things as you found them".

All hinges on the fossests farm scenario really, if and I believe its still a big if, the new ground is built we could be a championship club averaging around 13/14k crowds

Middle of the championship, having just signed an injury prone Dan Gosling and an ageing Michael Owen

10th in league one , still waiting for FF to be started

I would take that over the scenario of having 30pts deduction and going into the conference like Luton, bloody hell how bad would that be?
Sometimes all the millions mentioned with the supposed FF makes me very uncomfortable.

Champions League final, Steve Mildenhall scoring in the last minute to equalise, Southend win 5-4 on pens.
Lineup:

---------------Mildy-------------
Nevielle --- Clarke ---- Piqué --- Evra
Ronaldo -- Gerrard -- Iniesta -- Riera
------- Crouch -- Eastwood ------

That or what Sussex said.
