Depends on the time zone.

If taken from the launch site it was on the 20th.

That's right, I remember it clearly as it was my birthday, but as Cyril suggest it depends on which time zone you are in. IIRC Armstrong made his first step around 5am our time on 21st July 1969.

A bit convinient I thought that NASA managed to tape over the good footage, and all we are left with is the crappy stuff. Never ever believed they went, biggest hoax ever!!

Saw a bit on the One show last week where they pointed to a few things that could it prove it was a hoax. There was a strip of light on one of the guys boots but there was no real light up on the mooon. They also showed a shadow but it was the wrong way for the postion of the moon.

Assainated,no he wasn't, it was a stunt double. JFK has been impersonating Michael Jackson for years and only recently had a heart attack and died due to old age. Jacko stopped growing at 9 and has been happily living off the royalties from Different Strokes for a number of years.

There was a good 'Sky At Night' earlier this month. i'm surprised to see it's not still on the iPlayer.

There were some programmes on it earlier in the month. The one with James May on the U2 spy plane was particulary good.

We saw the moon landing on telly at school. One of the teachers had one of those old reel-to-reel video recorders and we watched a taping of it in assembley the next day.

The Russians were desperate to beat the US to the moon - they even tried to get an unmanned lander there two days before Apollo 11 landed to at least bring back moon rocks before the yanks, but it crashed.

Do those who think themselves so clever as to see through the amazing deception perpertrated for the last 40 years by NASA ever stop to wonder why the people with the most to gain from exposing the fallacy, and the equipment to detect if Apollo was not actually travelling to, landing on, and broadcasting from the moon have never blown the whistle? Or did Kennedy buy off the entire Russian space industry at the time?

Being cynical can be commendable at times, but there is a fine line between cynicism and gullibility.
