4-4-2 now illegal

Now I'm not seriously suggesting Tilly adopts a different system bearing in mind we have been reasonably successfully up until now with our current formation, being top of the table and all that.

But every now and again you have a Football Manager moment and wonder about other systems.  Let's assume, for a bit of fun, that FIFA, the FA, the Welsh FA or Budweiser have banned the 4-4-2 formation.  What system would you choose with our current crop of players?  I would go with the following hypothetical formation: -

Eastwood's at his most potent when he plays deep and runs at the box... IMO he's not an out and out forward strictly, more of a Scholes type player

I quite like the look of this - you have the option of dropping Gutts back into a more traditional midfield role in place of Bentley and then playing Wayne in the role between the midfield and Freddy...

cole was a wingback at grays i think, and i think jcr defends well. no doubt however that it is an attacking formation, which is what we need i think

I can't believe they've banned 4-4-2.

First they rule out the backpass, then they start making players leave the field after they receive treatment, then they tinker with the off-side rule, and now this.

When will they leave our beautiful game alone!??
