We have won the toss and elected to bat
Was also up at 5.30 to watch the final session. Good to watch. Much better than the first 2 by the sounds of it. The key is to bat for most of the 2nd day and tire out the Aussies in the field - after all there's a reason they didn't enforce the follow on in the 1st test, to give their players a rest.[b said:Quote[/b] (Museshrimper @ Dec. 01 2006,06:51)]224-3, Pietersen has been taking Warne on - has been great viewing this morning, pleased I got up at 5.30am to catch the whole final session. Collingwood is 78 not out and Pietersen 40 not out.
Now let's keep this up until tomorrow evening
98.something or other this calender year.[b said:Quote[/b] (Matt the Shrimp @ Dec. 01 2006,10:36)](*Some sobering reading for you... without looking, you have guess what Digger's average is in the seven tests he has played this year... PM me if you want the answer)
Ponting is averaging something like 116.[b said:Quote[/b] (Matt the Shrimp @ Dec. 01 2006,10:36)]So, what's the story with Glenda? Is he not 100% fit? If so, we need to go after him, big time. Ultimately, he with the ball and Ponting with the bat (*) are the main differences between the sides. With an unfit Glenda, we have a chance.
Great effort by Colly & KP. Oh, and what in God's good earth is up with Strauss at the moment... yet another wicket tossed away.

Close... 105.8. Yousuf is 99.33 this year - but over 11 Tests rather than Ponting's 7 Tests.[b said:Quote[/b] (Hong Kong Blue @ Dec. 01 2006,13:14)]Ponting is averaging something like 116.
Mind you Mohammed Yousef is averaging something similar and England beat his Pakistan team 3-0.
You wanna get sky mate[b said:Quote[/b] (Bluesmanager @ Dec. 01 2006,15:24)]They were saying 500odd in the drinks break before Strauss got caught - I stopped listening after that. Bit difficult to stay up all night reading with the cricket on the radio.
