As the Blues begin their second spell in English football’s second tier, I thought some of you might be interested in the following:
Originally produced and sold at the home game v Northampton Town on Boxing Day 1999, this is a must for any Southend United supporter. Re-live the Blue’s first ever season in the old Division Two in this 64 page fanzine style A5 booklet. The 1991-92 season was memorable in so many ways. From the 3-0 victory over Kenny Dalglish’s Blackburn Rovers, to the 4-0 demolition of Ossie Ardiles’ Newcastle United on New Years Day 1992, which sent United to the top of the league for all of 3 hours. Every one of the 46 league matches (plus selected cup matches) is covered and includes a national newspaper report and other vital statistics including the team line up, match attendance etc. In addition, there are loads of extras, including further national newspaper articles on the Blues throughout the season, together with a photograph of the league table which shows the Blues proudly sitting at the top of the table.
This was written by myself - a genuine Southend supporter - for other Southend United fans to read and enjoy.
I have got about 35 of these left, but could produce some more if the demand is there.
The cost is just £2.50, plus 50p (p&p).
