... the difference in crowd between Saturday and Tuesday.

Very surprised as it seemed significantly more crowded in all areas to me. More crowded, better atmosphere, better performance, better game. Must be an illusion of evening floodlit matches.

Looked about the same too me, the south lower had more kids in it due to the family day thing on Saturday.

Forest had more supporters to compensate.

We would have had a bigger crowd if we played forest saturday and luton tuesday, why do the footballl league do such interesting fixtures?

Maybe so but you'd hope (some chance) that common sense would come into play. A few seasons ago we had Orient on a Saturday at home and Carlisle on a Tuesday night! Oh and Brentford away on Valentine's day!
Do the fixture people have no brains at all? Fixtures are soon moved when Sky money appears!

I still for the life of me can't work out why Swansea is a 1 o'clock kick-off!

That is a joke especially changing it so late!

Perhaps the police think that by making it a 1pm ko people won't be drinking for hours before the match.

Considering there is a possibility of the Swans getting promoted that day, i think Essex Police dont fancy 2000 p*ssed up Swans on a Good friday evening down the seafront, with a 1pm they are less likely to arrive at the ground worse for wear.

Interesting that we and Col Ewe played on the same night last night. Yet earlier in the season we were forced to move the Huddersfield game to a Wednesday night when Col Ewe were at home to Watford. Why, was police advice used then to amend the dates, but not last night?

You've confused me! How is there gonna be 2,000 ****ed up swans on good friday evening?

Dragging this thread back on topic, its good to see our crowds continue to average around 8,000 mark (7,946 after last night) in spite of predictions from usual doom-mongers a couple of months back about them falling to 5-6,000.
Swansea, Brighton, Northampton still to play who will all probably bring a decent number along plus a decent turnout from home fans likely for Walsall and hopefully Port Vale on last day - so could well average more than the 8,053 in title winning season.
Last 3 seasons will have seen best run of average crowds in over 40 years.

I just managed to book the last couple of spare single seats in the East yellows today for the swansea game... looks very likely this will be our first sellout this season

Last night gate was very considering the once mighty forest only sold 700 tickets.... also compare the other gates we doubled gates....

you must feel for those eastend sadOs only managed just over 3000 ...
