Sorry you really have gone off the deep end with this. I think most appreciated a word of caution in regards to a rumour of a potential pre summer signing not coming to fruition due to a recent financial impediment and budgetry reassessment required.
Just because the poster respected his source and did the right thing by not relating chapter and verse on the issue he should not be castigated for it, especially when he has, excuse the pun, been on the money before.

To be fair, if we just ignored / mute those we didn’t agree with, there would be no discussion at all. When I read WillMay’s first respond to say ‘shut up’ I totally agree that’s not right on here, but it’s absolutely fine for him to disagree or state his dislike for the post. Just needs to do it in a more ‘constructive’ way.

Be so boring if we just replied and spoke to those we agree with.

I don't recall I've criticised anything you posted or called anything you've posted pointless.
I'm free to post anything I like within the zone rules, the same as you are. I also try and respect what others post. (I struggled with your post on that bit!)
So if I hear something that I think may be of interest to others I'll post it, but would never want to put anyone sharing info with me in an awkward situation because it would be disrespectful, which seems to be what you'd like.

Nice to see those that do provide that ITK information are still being shouted down. And people wonder why there isn’t much of it on here anymore…

Strange that if this initial message said we are after a striker from such and such a level with X amount of goals, that doesn’t get shouted down but if you put something that appears negative, people demand to know the source of the information.

Slightly off topic but .............. I understand the approach Chrisb but I politely disagree.

I would say please don't put anyone on ignore and please listen to (read) all the points of view.

Otherwise you only have partial information and how does anyone weigh up the pros & cons when one side (or more) of a discussion has not been heard?

Anyway, I am dismayed to think that we (the club) might be heading back into choppy waters but not exactly surprised.

I understand the aim is to ensure the club lives within its means going forward and if there's a hiccup in that process it will need putting right.
Definitely no need for concern stability wise, just maybe the result will be a more reserved approach at the moment when considering whether to bring in players.
i think you're probably right about blocking. Reading all views is enlightening. Luckily I'm not the sort to be bothered, but willmay333s disrespectful confrontational way of sharing his\her views could easily cause offence. Fortunately, 99% on here are respectful posters which I find makes it easier for me to take all points of view on board .

I for one appreciate your views. A bit of gossip is my favourite reason for using the zone, even if it’s not happy gossip. It’s also pretty normal in life to have to only be able to tell half a story too.

Totally agree, have never felt the need to put anyone on ignore the many years ive been on here. Differences of opinion are part of honest open conversation.

Im often left feeling incredulous after reading some posts, but ive always found it interesting just how different peoples opinions can be.

If your muting peoples opinions its a bit like on social media where your feed is manipulated and your basically in an echo chamber, pointless.

If I'm honest I don't think since COSU's involvement the Club has ever really been out of those choppy waters in one way or another, but they have done and are doing an wonderful job of steering us through them. Calmer waters on the horizon I am sure.

My point has been completely missed.

Ive already seen 3 different people mention how we could start the season in embargo, or worried that things are negative. Ever heard the saying "you dont tell the kids mum and dad are arguing" ?

It is so, SO unneeded to drop these subtle "cant sign anyone, ron/jack are why" and then REFUSING to provide any insight on how or why?

Couldnt care less if your info is valid or not, im not really fussed, just so pointless to post such baiting lines to an extremeley senstive situation?
