Ticket News Braintree (a) - Wed 1st Jan 5:30pm (all-ticket)

Given how quickly they've sold out I wonder if they'll open up a bit more of the ground to away fans. Makes sense for them to cash in I would have thought - especially as it sounds like they're a bit strapped for cash at the moment

I hope so - I was plucking up the courage to ask the wife last night for permission to cut short a family gathering to go to the game, but by the time I had done that the tickets had sold out!

All very quiet from Braintree and still showing as 'Sold out' for away fans.
Do we know for sure that the allocation was 1,400. Never known us to sell that many in just a few hours for a league match.

w i was at Braintree a few weeks ago and apparently the club is not maned full time only a few times a week so maybe that`s why the ticket sales are strange . it`s still a part time club

Our previous away game sold out inside 14 minutes rather than 24 hours!

This one was always going to sell out. New ground and our first localish away game since Barnet in August for most fans. Given many will have missed out on Brentwood tickets I didn’t expect people to hang around.

I did say 'league' match.
But yes it was always going to sell out. No mention of the actual allocation anywhere yet though.

Someone at Blues On Tour said 1200. If thats so thats still some selling over 1 day or so. Surely we will get more. the ground holds 4000+ and they never get near that. Also spoke to Keith SUFC Police and he said that it will be linked to segregation and health and safety. Its a high profile match and probably the biggest Braintree have had so they want it to go right and without trouble etc. Having been to the ground numerous times still not quite sure why they cant fit more Southend in even after what Keith said

Only two turnstiles, 7+8, for away fans whereas turnstiles 1-4 for home fans and 5+6 for Braintree ST holders and guests. Potential for long queues / delayed entry…
