TBV in the West or North

Amazing 👏👏👏 I was in the West S block and all game I could hear (and see) the fans in the North getting the stadium rocking. Great to see the flag waving, the jumping and the North Bank roar back once again. First Class!!! A huge thank you to all involved I’m absolutely sure that the support added to the players performance on the pitch and helped them over the line.

It was a great day to be a Shrimper 🦐

Just a note if you have young kids and want to go in the north bank - you need to choose your 'seat' carefully - as everyone stands little uns can't see. Probably best down the front and to the side if you want to be in the north.
Actually I'd revise this and say that for below senior school might be best to avoid North Bank altogether, especially if first game. Sit elsewhere and if they ask to go in there next game follow above and sit near front. Note they're not allowed to stand at the very front next to the wall to watch (what we did as 'youngsters') as it's an emergency gang way.

I guess one of the objectives of getting home fans in there is to reduce the impact of the away fans in there.

I sat on the other side of the gangway towards the West stand. I heard Oldham a few times, but not much, but then their noise would've had to go past tbv to get to me.

So question to fans in other stands - did you hear Oldham much? They had a drum as well (I think).

I guess it helped they didn't have much to sing about

My 8 year old really enjoyed the second half atmosphere, sometimes kids get bored with the actual football and the atmosphere can keep them engaged! Tempted to take him in the North Bank he may have to stand on a seat to see though and we all know what happens then he'll fall through at one point lol.

Heard Oldham once when they got a corner in the first half that was it! Totally drowned out and that's how it should be

Fyi - Stewards were going round in second half asking people not to stand on seats

Did people stand at their 'allocated' seat? I ask because my friends and I might swap our seasons cards over their for the next home game but a different friend doesn't know if he can make it until later on. Want us to be able to be together.

My son did at first, but then was able to move. Would think until it’s full you’ll be able to move to empty seats in there no problems.

Isn't it amazing what can be achieved when you can have a true engagement between the fanbase, TBV, and the club representatives to support each other towards a single aim.
By Jove! did that work yesterday, or what? Superb atmosphere in the North, and consequently, around the ground coupled with a great performance on the pitch. In there with my two sons, one on a flag, and days don't get much better than that...:Worthy::Happy:

It was very fluid in there, I wouldn’t expect to stand where your seat is but there’s plenty of room in there to pick your spot.

Personally I prefer that as I was able to stand with friends

From South West, the North bank looked like a giant party, bouncing around and the atmosphere was infectious. The X block probably is the same, but for the first time, from the South West end we could see as well as hear it.
From a visual and atmosphere point of view it was fantastic and definitely brought a smile to the face of those watching.
Ultimately its down to those that sit in the west X block to decide, but certainly raised the atmosphere for us in the rest of the West.

East (north end), the Oldham fans did a very decent effort for their team in spurts but TBV was the best organised, loudest, most in sync I've witnessed for years. The second half especially with a chant that was infectious and that anybody could join in without needing to know words.
In was so infectious that I saw areas around me joining in that would normally be relatively quiet other than cheers and claps.
The flag looked good too.
Retrospectively giving my MOM vote to TBV.

From the west, I thought it took a little while to get fully going but once it did, it was brilliant.

It was great to hear the whole ground joining in a bit more too. Certain chants or songs are better for that than others.

Just one slight negative note, the chants of 'no noise from the North Bank Boys' from some in the west in the first half weren't needed. I know it's in jest but we really don't need to be negative towards each other. Aim that at the away end. We are much better when we all join in together, like we did in the second half. Let's hope it continues!

Our small group turfed out "visitors" in our season ticket seats in the BV section. Well, its only right 😄
