Awful. Hang your heads in shame. Players, management, all of you.

Fylde, Maidenhead, Boston… what is it about these bargain basement teams that we just cannot unlock? We could have played all night and not scored. I can’t remember their keeper making one meaningful save.

Never want to see Goodliffe wearing our shirt again.

Hopper showed no goal scoring threat about him whatsoever.

Bonne added to his ever growing catalogue of glaring misses. Please god we don’t persist with him next year

Hayes doesn’t look an improvement on Collin. Chocolate wrists for their second, which sealed our fate. Hasn’t kept a clean sheet yet. Not sure it’s a coincidence

Husin’s impersonation of the invisible man has got better and better throughout the season. I’m amazed as to how little he actually brings to this team.

KAF great first half. Resembled a lost child in the second.

I’m sure the tacticians will give us simplistic answers as to why we lost tonight, but frankly there’s only one real reason, which is that we didn’t look like we wanted it, especially up top tonight. When Boston attacked us, they looked like they wanted it. Did we? Did we bollocks.

Very disappointing performance in a game which meant so much to us. KAF and Leon showed promise, but that really was it. Missed Golding tonight, hopefully we can find a way of keeping him. Noor seems to go missing in games lately. Still no dynamic threat from our forwards, we need better. Saturday is a must win now in my opinion.

We've blown a good chance to move into the play offs tonight and lost our game in hand over Gateshead. We played well in the first half but didn't really look like scoring, missing some half chances. In the second half Boston remembered that they are allowed to attack as well as defend and we were overrun. Once Boston went ahead that was it. Only KAF and Parillon can take any pride tonight, the rest tried hard but were simply not good enough.

Very disappointing end to a long unbeaten run. Oldham will smash us on Saturday if we don't buck our ideas up.

Amazingly we're still in with a chance of the play offs with Altrincham and Halifax drawing and Rochdale losing. But we have to improve our crossing and take our chances. We also need to learn how to defend.

A truly embarrassing performance, not only the result but losing to that mob in that manner is shameful.

Serious surgery is needed on the squad in the summer, especially the defence. Gubbins isn’t at the level (God knows what level he is at), Goodliffe needs to be catapulted back to Col Ewe - thank god that useless lump isn’t our problem long term. I like Ralph but his availability is a huge problem, and we’ll be losing Golding. That’s at least three centre backs and that’s not even thinking about the left wing back problem.

And while we’re on defenders, seeing as we keep being told how good Hopper is at clearing freekicks, I’ll include him here too! A huge mistake, and we’re stuck with him for another season thanks to his longer contract.

These players simply won’t get us out of the league, playoffs would be nice this year but we’d simply be bounced by whoever else in the first round anyway. I just hope the sustainability aspect doesn’t get in the way of us signing some players with real quality.

Rant over!

Boston could have won their last 10 matches on the trot for all that argument means because they were bang average this evening but kept it simple, took advantage of our mistakes and gave us a tanking with a lesser squad and lesser resources

Absolute shambolic performance and with everyone around us being **** was about time we put in a performance like that😂 let’s not overreact we haven’t lost any ground on play off places tonight it’s still the same as before the game . But Saturday has become even bigger now

The absence of Golding and Ralph played a very large part in us conceding 3 in the way we did, and Harry had one of those games where he was great one minute and slipping all over the place the next. Our inability to hit a cow's arse with a banjo continues to haunt us, and if only our early chances had gone in...........how many times have we said that this season. SUFC, players and coaches, you really should have done far better tonight. I suspect ShrimperZone will now go into deep melt down tonight, so as I'm not up for hanging around on here for much longer. What really brasses me off is that now Saturday and Oldham will start with a very subdued crowd, whereas we needed to be giving it large. Nite nite all.

Usual, expected result when our hopes are up. We are mirroring previous seasons, we go on a run without playing that convincingly in many games, draw too much and lose to ****e when the chips are down. Hopper is not an asset. Hayes is not an improvement on Collin. Goodliffe is a poor clogger. Kendall must have farted in Maher's face or something.
As so often, we get to half time looking ok and then the opposition tweak and improve and we take forever to react to it. Poor play, individual errors and management mismanagement have shown why we are way off promotion ready.
Cue the CP interviews this week with players and the manager telling us we are ready to go on a positive run again and this result was disappointing but not terminal.
