Tyler Cordner

Reminded me of Luke Shaw in that he had an unusual body shape for a pro-footballer.

Seem to recall we were all gutted when he wouldn't stay with us. I'm pretty sure we offered him a deal but he strangely chose Weymouth instead. Was hardly the actions of a player looking to improve their standing in the game. I mean I know we were in a mess, but we always had a lot more potential than Weymouth, who, no disrespect, are very much a non-league club in every sense (yes I know so are we currently, but you catch my drift).

Weymouth were offering more money, at this level, that's a very big factor.

Oh? I was told wrongly then, pretty sure that was what came from Tyler himself.

Tyler himself, nor any footballer mind, will openly admit they’ve gone elsewhere for more money. Even if that’s the deciding factor.

We spoke to Tyler, who admitted his desire was to move back to the south coast, and subsequently signed for Weymouth. We didn’t put a formal contract in front of him. Weymouth certainly weren’t throwing around big money.
