Breaking News Season ticket prices go up for 2023/24

Seems someone at the club has panicked with the survey out, so they've stuck prices up by 15% from £295 for early bird to £340. £380 after that. Matchday tickets also to go up.

The good news I guess is that card payments are allowed, so at least you can feel a little more secure while you're robbed.

43 years a fan, home and away, a majority of those years a ST. I've tweeted the club and said that until we have reassurances regarding the future of the club, the embargo being lifted and staff being paid then i will not be renewing my three. i don't have an issue with the price rise, but i do about giving my money to a business that is completely unstable and no guarantee of how my money will be spent or even if we will have a club in June

Nice one Jon, got to let them know.

I do have a bit of an issue with the pay rise. Even for early bird, it's above inflation and I don't think the way the club is being run and the way the fans are being treated justifies those increases - especially the £380.

I might be more malleable if they came out and said "£340 all-in, no matter when you buy it - the rise is in line with inflation and the increase in our overheads, plus a little on top to boost the playing budget".

But I can't be certain that's where the extra money would go. It just goes into a black hole. Completely unaccountable.

Like that idea

The perfect response S,lets hope they give a decent reply.

At the end of the day if we are gonna hold back on season tickets it needs to be a majority of the fans that do it. Not just a few hundred, otherwise it's another pointless protest
200 x £300 will hurt - a lot!

This will be a game of who blinks first then, and a lot will depend on how many supporters have completed the S/T Survey and how many have opted to delay purchasing until The Peroxide Blond sings. If the numbers are high enough, and sales are very low, then I reckon the Early Bird deadline will be extended, which it has been for a least the previous 3 seasons anyway to my recollection. I'm not surprised at the increase in prices, ours are a further 30 quid each (up to £215), which is less than we paid in 2019, for far more enjoyable football. For the first time this is an opportunity to twist Ronnie's arm as, without season card funding coming in, the Club's pips will squeak.

A 15% increase won't even come close to bridging the shortfall between income and expenditure so I wouldn't worry too much about where the extra cash will be spent.

Crucial moment - the impact to cash flow will be huge and damaging.
BUT transparency has to trump this.

If we are told the financial truth, which may hurt, then at least we can make a decision to invest in a SC or not.

We won’t have many season card holders next season at that price, be interesting if other national league sides put prices up that much, like it how they say it could be league two football next season, no chance of that at moment I’m affraid, they are league two season ticket prices so why not wait until we or if we get into that league, my guess is some loss of around 800 fans will not renew at least.

Its such a sad time. Its a double edged sword. In one hand we must make a stand against Rom and show that this situation is not acceptable, but by not renewing we hit the clubs finances further and as a result staff and players dont get paid. As a result in the summer many will probably jump ship and then we are back to square one and looking to rebuild. But unless there are clear plans in place to resolve this situation then how do we know how our money will be spent and on what. the club simply have to front this up, release a statement, talk to the supporter groups whatever and tell the fan base what is going on and happening in the immediate future. I think our average gate at home is around 5700 and we worked out last night the average away fans we take is around 644. The fans are still behind this club (players and management at least), everything is on place on the pitch and with this management to have a real go next season but matters off the pitch are set to derail this massively

I think it shows even more that witholding on renewal will have even more impact that anticipated. Given the amount of the rise shows the club need extra income, however I think its counter productive as without doubt, a number will not renew possibly nullifying the increased cost.
I would have thought, reducing prices and enticing over occassional supporters could increase the turnover with bar takings, merch and snack bars etc.

Even more determined to hold out renewing to try and get some communication about our short, medium and long term future. Thats all I want. Plausable plans of how we get out of this mess and ensure we don't get into this situation again.
