Same ****, different decade. The planning began in the 90s and 30 odd years later we will be on the move. I think it will be worth the wait
So back to another planning application.![]()
I'd assume this would be an easier and shorter one as it's getting smaller rather than bigger. So back to another planning application.![]()
It.Is.Not.PossibleStay at roots Hall and just redevelop the east stand, job done. To many false dawns with this crap 3 sided stadium to keep believing its going to be built.
It is possible. We are literally redeveloping Portsmouth as we speak without any wholesale demolition - the only issue is that a redevelopment doesn't enable Ron to deliver the raft of commercial space which is needed to supposedly allow self-sufficiency.It.Is.Not.Possible
No it isn't possible, RH does not have any space around it to be redeveloped, the whole stadium is falling down and it takes £300k+ a year upkeep just to meet the safety certificate for supporters to attend and matches to take place. It is possible. With all due respect mate, and I'm sure he can speak for himself, but I do believe Sherif H works in stadia construction as his career. I could've sworn he once posted about it more in depth. No it isn't possible, RH does not have any space around it to be redeveloped, the whole stadium is falling down and it takes £300k+ a year upkeep just to meet the safety certificate for supporters to attend and matches to take place.
So no it is not possible, and these extra income streams are very much needed for Southend United to survive, as well as build.
That's fair if that is the case, but to me it just looks like a simple observation, I just can't see it being anywhere near possible or viable, with such little space and nothing funding it - as it seems very clear that we are relying on the income from the housing developments to allow the stadium to be built. With all due respect mate, and I'm sure he can speak for himself, but I do believe Sherif H works in stadia construction as his career. For what it's worth I would love nothing more than Roots Hall to be redeveloped. Breaks my heart to one day look at a block of flats where the Hall once stood. My second home filled with too many memories plus 3 generations of my family all going.
Surely this CanAbsolutely emotionless about this. Another redesign, Yet another delay from a previously re-vamped timescale. meh!
He does indeed. With all due respect mate, and I'm sure he can speak for himself, but I do believe Sherif H works in stadia construction as his career. I could've sworn he once posted about it more in depth.

At first glance I would agree, especially with regards the South stand and West. That's fair if that is the case, but to me it just looks like a simple observation, I just can't see it being anywhere near possible or viable, with such little space and nothing funding it - as it seems very clear that we are relying on the income from the housing developments to allow the stadium to be built.
BTW - loved the video on the redevelopment and uncovering old floor etc that's been hidden. Absolutely amazing transition keeping things pretty original while futureproofing! It is possible.
