Its what Stan promised, and hasnt delivered IMO.So we know now why Maher cant bring new players in.What we wont to know now what are the plans to lift the embargo so we can. This current group are useless and with the embargo in place we are stagnating. So a statement from the club would be nice,no flannel clean facts which supporters deserve.
thats 4 Charlie Sayers.£200k will take a while to clear
I wonder if HMRC have changed their position on the payment plan I thought was agreed?
We WILL go down this season if we don't improve the team.
Simple as that.
Ron needs to sell up and give us half a chance. all this "lets get behind the lads" bull**** has got to stop!!!!! We have gone from a league 1 side pushing for promotion to this!
What is it going to take for some of you to wake up and realize we are doomed if something doesn't change? Conference South? Isthmian Prem?
COME ON PEOPLE!!! Have a look around!!! do you really think this is normal? enough is enough!
GET MARTIN OUT.
Yes i agree. More transparency and community relations etc was part of his remit. Its what Stan promised, and hasnt delivered IMO.
I haven't taken one penny from Southend United to date.Ironic that SVC himself started the Recruitment thread and nothing happened, apart from Still's arrival. Another mouth to feed when players were the priority. Surely the embargo must been seen coming. The CEO must have known. Don't the new management team speak to each other?
This surely cannot be the real StanI haven't taken one penny from Southend United to date.
The HMRC tax demand would not have come out of the blue. The CEO must have been aware that there were problems on the horizon that would have to be dealt with yet was instrumental in the appointment of a top heavy and expensive management team full of brave talk when the reality must have been obvious. It also raises the question of did the trio of coaches, SVC and Still walk into this blindly without taking the trouble to ascertain the true extent of the club's finances, in view of past history you would have expected a modicum of caution at the very least. Its what Stan promised, and hasnt delivered IMO.

Tom and co would have known if payments that they expected to make were paid or not. Wouldn't be the first time that HMRC have moved the goalposts.
Surprised the amount is as low as suggested. At least that information makes it more likely there will be an earlier resolution.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be paid in one lump sum. A Time to Pay agreement can be reached with HMRC where the bill will be paid in instalments.Anyone remember the Chesterfield fan who came back on here after all the backroom appointments and warned us not to ease the pressure on Ron? Said something similar had happened at Chesterfield to pacify the fans and nothing changed, so we shouldn’t back down. How right he was eh?
No idea where we even go from here. Doubt Ron’s got £200k he’ll hand over to HMRC tomorrow. He normally only pays up once we’re standing in front of the firing squad with a blindfold on. Time for a hostile takeover from Collymore and the consortium? Is that even possible with Ron as majority shareholder?
God this is depressing.

Wouldn’t surprise you tho would it, sakes SZ to delete account only to jump onto a new one to defend himself. Where have the buzz words gone???This surely cannot be the real Stan![]()
Not at all. What you are talking is current world vs a small idea I had that would ensure owners are not in a position to kill a club they own financially but not emotionally. So we are talking about a world where government's with a record of human rights abuses are allowed to buy our leading clubs and we want clubs takien away from other owners because tax bills are paid late? This is the problem.
