Morrison Ban

Silencer

Director
Hi guys, anyone know how long a ban Morrison got for his red last weekend? Is it just a one game or a three?

(c) PLAYERS SENT OFF UNDER LAW 12 (4) and (5)
A Player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for denying a goal or an obvious goalscoring opportunity by physical means or by handling the ball, will be suspended automatically from all approved First Team matches commencing forthwith, until such time as his Club's First Team has completed its next match in an approved Competition.

Morrison is back for Tranmere on Tuesday.

On the subject of bans though, when does Grant's 2 game ban come in? I've lost track of when an accumulated booking ban comes in. Straight away? Or 7 days after the last booking?

i think it's straight away now, so he'll miss Tranmere and Norwich.

Thanks mate

As far as i am aware, the totting up bans for yellow cards take place 7 days after the 5th, 10th or 15th card etc was issued, thus, Grants ban should start on 27th November meaning that he will miss the matches against Norwich and Charlton.

Yes, that's right. It was changed this season.

The other change is the date that the yellow card amnesty will take effect. From this season onwards, the cut off date for five cautions is now reduced to 31 December.

Previously, players collecting five yellow cards prior to the final day in February were subject to a one-match suspension. This will now only apply if a player reaches five yellow cards before 31 December. Sanctions for players accumulating 10 and 15 cautions remain in place as do their respective amnesty periods.

It's amazing how many yellow cards Grant and Macca get but seem to avoid getting sent off! I don't think Grant has ever been sent off for us and it must be a couple of years since Macca last saw red

Yes you are correct Mick, i've just found this on the Fa website...

I'd be surprised if Macca got close enough to "go in hard" on Bailey, unless he plans on doing it when they shake hands before the game.
Would not be surprised if Tilson lays the law down not to get involved in any private vendetta against Bailey, esp with the state of our squad.

Doubt very much if there would be any trouble between them, more likely to be between Jeff or Grant and him.
